Where no head height is given, the card sizes the head to the international standard: 70–80% of the photo’s height.

ICP wants a recent photo that isn't the same as the one on your current passport or ID. Face the camera, eyes open, against a white wall.

The card opens on the visa size. Choose ID card for an Emirates ID or Passport for a UAE passport: all are 35 × 45 mm on white.

ICP, the UAE's identity and citizenship authority, asks for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm colour photo with a white background, taken recently and meeting the ICAO standard. The face should take up 70 to 80% of the photo, with the head and the top of the shoulders showing. No hats or sunglasses; medical glasses only if they don't cover the eyes; a head covering only for religious reasons, with the face visible from chin to forehead.
ICP's and GDRFA Dubai's visa pages ask only for a recent colour photo on white and give no size, so the card uses ICP's 35 × 45 mm. Some sites quote other sizes, such as 43 × 55 mm; we didn't find them on ICP's or GDRFA's own pages.
The photo is framed in your browser and isn't uploaded. We can't promise acceptance; ICP decides.
