Trim a photo for a profile picture, a post, a story or a print. Drop it below, compare the shapes on the picture itself, and the cropped copy is made on your device.

Choose Files
1
Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP onto the box above, or click Choose Files. The cropper works on one photo at a time.
2
The assistant opens with 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 and 3:2 crops drawn on your photo, each with its size in pixels and how much of the picture it keeps. For any other cut, open Custom crop and drag the box or its corners.
3
The crop comes back as a new file with a download button, in the same format as the photo you dropped. Your original stays whole.
A square can cut off an elbow or the top of a head, and you usually notice only once the crop is made. Here every shape is drawn on your own photo first, so you can see what stays and what goes before anything is cut. Cropping only removes edges: nothing is stretched or redrawn.
Each shape is centered on the picture by default. If the wrong part survives, ask to keep the top, bottom, left or right instead, and that shape is drawn again from each side. For pixel-exact results, type a size such as “1080 × 1080”, or use Custom crop, where you can drag the box, lock its proportions or enter its position and size in pixels.
The crop is made in your browser, so the photo is not uploaded, and the new file leaves out hidden details such as where it was taken. A JPG stays a JPG and a PNG keeps its transparency; a GIF or another format is saved as a JPG.
