Drop videos here or choose them. They are joined in the order listed.

How to Merge MP4 Files

1

1

Add your clips

Choose your MP4 files or drop them onto the box above; you can add several at once. Use a desktop or laptop browser.

2

2

Set the order

The clips are joined top to bottom. Move them up or down with the arrows and remove any you do not want, then click Merge in Editor.

3

3

Export one video

The editor opens with your clips on the timeline in that order. Click Export, choose the resolution, frame rate and quality, and save the merged video.

Merging Clips on a Timeline

Add the MP4 files on this page, by choosing them or dropping them onto it, and set the order with the arrows. Merge in Editor opens our browser video editor with the clips already on the timeline, back to back in that order, so you can check them, trim if you like, and export one video.

The editor renders a single new video, MP4 by default, encoded with H.264 where the browser supports it. Clips of different sizes can be combined: the project takes its frame size from the first video, and later clips are scaled to fit inside it, with borders where the shapes differ. MOV and WebM clips can share the timeline too.

The editor needs a desktop or laptop browser; it is not available on phones. Your clips are passed to the editor inside your browser and are read, edited and exported on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed.

Merge MP4 Files: FAQ

01

Can I merge MP4 files on my phone?

Not in the browser. The merging happens in our video editor, which needs a desktop or laptop browser, so on a phone this page asks you to switch to a computer.

02

Is the merged video re-encoded?

Yes. The editor draws every frame of the timeline and encodes one new video, so you can choose its resolution (up to 4K), frame rate and quality. Clips are not simply stuck together byte for byte.

03

Can I merge clips with different resolutions?

Yes. The first video sets the project's frame size, and later clips are scaled to fit inside it without cropping, so a clip with a different shape gets borders.

04

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. The clips you add are handed to the editor inside your browser, and importing, editing and exporting all run on your device. The editor's optional AI features, such as noise reduction and subtitles, do send audio to a server, but merging does not use them.
