Drop a video onto the page or click to browse. Several videos can be added at once, and each is compressed to the target on its own.

Fit to Size is preselected with 22 MB. Leave it for a 25 MB limit, or type a different number into the size box.

Click Compress. Encoding runs on your device and the smaller file downloads automatically, keeping its original container format.

Getting a Video Under 25 MB

25 MB is the attachment limit for personal Gmail and Outlook.com accounts at the time of writing (September 2026), and plenty of upload forms use the same figure. This page opens the compressor in Fit to Size mode with a target already set, so a clip is one click from fitting.

The preset is 22, not 24 or 25. The size box counts binary megabytes, so even 24 in the box is about 25.2 million bytes, over a limit counted in millions of bytes, and encoders can overshoot their target slightly. 22 (about 23.1 million bytes) leaves room for both.

Fit to Size keeps the original resolution and lowers the bitrate. At 22 MB a three-minute clip gets about 1 Mbit/s for picture and sound together, while a ten-minute clip gets about 0.3 Mbit/s, which is where the picture starts to break up.

Compress Video to 25 MB: FAQ

01

Why does the page aim for 22 MB instead of 25 MB?

The size box counts binary megabytes (1,048,576 bytes each), so 25 in the box would be over 26 million bytes. Encoders also land slightly above their target at times. 22 keeps the finished file safely below a 25 MB limit.

02

Will Gmail or Outlook accept the compressed video?

At the time of writing (September 2026), personal Gmail and Outlook.com accounts accept 25 MB of attachments, and Gmail turns anything larger into a Google Drive link. Work and school accounts can have different limits set by an administrator. The message text and any other attachments count too, so compress further if you are sending more than one file.

03

Can I compress several videos to 25 MB at once?

Yes. Add them together and click Compress once; each video is fitted to the target separately and downloads as its own file.

04

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. The video is compressed in your browser with WebCodecs, or with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly for files the browser cannot handle itself. It stays on your device the whole time, and there is no account and no watermark.
